Hey there, my name is Marc Pitarch Dos Santos, thank you for checking my portfolio out! I am a recently graduated game developer looking for a place in the industry. My location is Castelló de la Plana, Spain but I'd happily relocate pretty much anywhere.

As a student I have had the chance to create polished games and experiences going through different roles and working with people from various backgrounds. Everything, Everywhere, On a Roll! - UJI Game Jam 2024

A 48 hour jam game where you roll a ball and explore a cute garden. I developed the textures and models with Blender, TreeIt and Subtance Painter. Created sounds using Ableton Live and implemented them with FMOD. I used systems I had created previously for the control of UI animations, FMOD control and day/night cycle. Modified a free toon shader asset to fit my needs and used a Subsurface Scattering subgraph I have created previously for the tree leaves.

Substance Designer - Learning

I am currently learning all the nook and crannies of creating high quality materials and textures in Substance Designer and Painter. For now I am a beginner but I acknowledge the possibilities of these tools. I have created some materials myself with the help of some tutorials.

Grass and dynamic wind - Final Degree Project 2023 / Ongoing

The final project for my Videogame Design and Development bachelor's. It features tools for customized rendering of grass with the help of compute shaders, which I used to make similar grass to Breath of the Wild. A fluid simulation based wind system creates dynamic interaction with motors, inspired by God of War. You can check out some of the development process on my Twitter account!

Videogame Talk at EACC - 2023

On November 2023 thanks to Espai d'art contemporani de Castelló, I had the chance to talk about platforms games and my own Blue Blood, giving some interesting details about videogame development and some tips and tricks on platformers! You can check out some slides on the LinkedIn post.

Edge of Tomorrow VR (Quest 2) - 2022

During my time at Hanze's Hogeschool in Groningen I got the chance to direct and develop a Quest 2 game with a team of 5 people to help the northern police of Groningen raise awareness of knife crime.

ANCIENT - Indie Spain Jam 2022

A team of 6 students of the degree worked remotely on the development of ANCIENT a puzzle sokoban style jam game. Sound design and implementation using FMOD, music, VFX and game design. We achieved 12th place out of 172 entries!

Blue Blood - 2022

My biggest game to date, full solo development. Custom character controller, models, animation, game desing, shaders, sound and music. Originated as a university project for the subject Game Engines.

El Forn de Babalà - 2021

University project of a joined triple subject assignment. Raising awareness of rural problems. Game design, art supervision, movement, rythm game, music, sound, team management in a 2D game.

Pitarcus Music Project

My music production and artist profile. I write lyrics, produce electronic pop songs and create an image idendity for each of them. I am currently starting to make songs in valencian a unique language we have here. This is a world that has allowed me to perform at some venues in my city and collaborate with some of the artist around Castelló de la Plana! In this project I use many tools such as Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator and DaVinci Resolve to create images and videos.
